Over the last several months our projects have spanned from the Gulf Coast to the Midwest...and that's a lot of time on the road when flying isn't on our radar right now. We absorbed the countryside that morphed from Lowcountry marshes filled with shimmering waters to rolling hills of lush farmland that extended way beyond our interstate routes.
The marshes are supported by nature, but the farms are supported by us. That's where VerdeSol can help make a difference. Any farmer who installs solar on their property can apply for a USDA REAP (Rural Energy for America Program) Grant if 50% or more of their income is from agriculture or livestock. It's not a complicated process, but it's lengthy and time-consuming.
So with all that time on the road, we've honed our grant writing skills and think farmers need to keep doing what they do best and let us handle the paperwork. There are also certain states that offer energy credits such as SRECs (Solar Renewable Energy Certificates) and we're licensed to apply for those too.
Grants aren't guaranteed and that's why VerdeSol will never quote your system using these deductions. We'll just work hard and hope to get you a bonus check when you least expect it!
And while saving money is always a benefit to any project, we know you'll realize all the other ways our environment is reaping the benefits as you take in every sunrise over those golden rows of grain and every sunset that slowly drops behind a silhouetted barn.
